Yasha Nawar

Yasha is currently a junior in high school in Bangladesh. She is an aspiring law student and wants to pursue her legal career in refugee law. She has a wide range of interests which includes - neuroscience, philosophy, law, film, Sufism, computer science, Islamic history, etc. She chose the Research Writing Committee in Women Against International Abuse to gain in-depth experience in legal research and writing. She wants to contribute her skills and knowledge to address issues related to women's rights, advocate for justice, education and equality. She aspires to contribute meaningfully to the organization through her fervor for reading, researching, and writing and strives for personal and intellectual growth. In her free time, she likes to read, watch films/documentaries, finds solace in the poetic verses and ghazals of Mirza Ghalib, Rumi, Gulzar, Ahmed Faraz , ponder over philosophical questions and listens to The Smiths , ABBA, Fleeetwood Mac. She also loves watching Bollywood films and listening to Indian playback singers - Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi .
