Fundraising
A donation of any amount is hugely beneficial in the fight against domestic abuse against women of color. 100% of the proceeds will be directed toward our mission. In addition to this, there are several internationally based grassroots organizations listed for a more direct path of support to victims in other countries.
Safety
WAIA seeks to establish a space where WOC can easily navigate their situation and assess what they need to stay safe. Our safety page offers resources including crisis hotlines, immediate housing, counseling, legal aid, and other forms of support across SoCal. We prioritize translation services in the selection of these organizations.
Toolkits
Finding the courage to leave abuse is something that takes incredible amounts of strength. Even though it is not always easy to navigate an abusive situation, the first step is to recognize signs of violence. Our toolkits are meant to help victims assess the severity of their situation and understand all their options.
