Discussion
Taking a moment to pause and listen to the voices of women who were once familiar with the incessant cycle of abuse is one of the best ways to educate yourself on violence against WOC. Even after physical distancing from an abuser, the psychological, financial, and physical ramifications are incredibly difficult to leave behind. A true retelling of a story can only come from the words of the survivor themself. WAIA hopes to unite survivors, supporters, experts, and authors in the fight against the unrelenting prevalence of domestic violence.
