Rebeca Torres Jara
Rebeca Torres Jara is a student of Mexican-American descent. She is passionate about advocating for social issues through art, specially those she can relate to, in order for stories to be told through the perspectives of people who suffer in society. She is a talented graphic designer, and writer. She loves philosophy, psychology and deep diving into sociology through these perspectives by writing essays, poetry and other forms of art. She also runs a journalism project at her school, called “Humans of Franklin”, creating a safe space for students to channel their uniqueness and share their stories.
In her downtime she enjoys playing music and signing in bands, as well as drawing, reading and making art in any way that inspires her, in order to channel this inspiration and passion onto others.
